A yoga community overlooking the ocean

Retreats in Koh Tao

Practice, food, a bed by the sea and a community around it — pick the retreat that matches how deep you want to go.

In short

Blue Chitta runs yoga and freediving retreats in Koh Tao from one centre. On the yoga side: the simple Eat Sleep Yoga stay, the flexible Self Yoga Retreat with unlimited classes, and a guided 7-day Ashtanga & Hatha week. On the water side: the 3-day Level 1 retreat and 1, 3 or 7-day packages for certified divers. Prices start around 1,300฿ a day, and most retreats start any day from 2pm.

Rest into the practice

The yoga retreats share one shala, one café and one community — what changes is the structure. One class, one meal and a bed is the simplest version; unlimited classes and a week you build yourself is the next; seven days with one teacher and one classical method is the one that changes something.

Follow the breath down

The freediving retreats wrap daily water sessions in the same holistic rhythm — morning breathwork, yoga, ice baths and Prana Café food. New freedivers certify Level 1 inside the retreat; certified divers train line, pool and reef at their own depth for a day, three, or seven.

Why yoga and freediving share one retreat centre

Depth in freediving is a direct side effect of how relaxed you are, and yoga is how the body learns to release on command. That is why every retreat here — yoga or freediving — runs on the same daily rhythm of breathwork, movement, water and rest, and why many guests end up doing both.

What every retreat shares

A shala with sea on one side and jungle on the other, the on-site vegetarian Prana Café, a wellness dorm twenty steps from the mat, and teachers who live on the island rather than pass through it. The whole day supports the practice, not just the hours on the schedule.

All of them, side by side.

Every retreat includes a bed in the sea-view wellness dorm and at least one meal a day at Prana Café. Prices are per person; taking a retreat without the stay is 10% off.

Questions, answered clearly.

The useful details first. Ask the team when your plans need a specific answer.

Which Blue Chitta retreat should I choose?

Choose by what fills the days: Eat Sleep Yoga for a simple budget stay, Self Yoga for unlimited classes and flexibility, the Ashtanga & Hatha week for structure with one teacher, the Level 1 retreat to learn freediving from zero, or the certified freediving retreat if you already hold a certification.

When can I start a retreat?

Eat Sleep Yoga, Self Yoga, the Ashtanga & Hatha week and the certified freediving retreat all start any day from 2pm. The Level 1 freediving retreat follows the weekly course schedule, usually starting Wednesdays and Fridays.

Where do I sleep?

In the shared sea-view wellness dorms, mixed or female-only, with pod beds. If you prefer privacy, the team can recommend a private room at a nearby resort a short walk away.

Can I combine yoga and freediving in one stay?

Yes. Every freediving retreat already includes daily yoga and breathwork, and yoga guests can add a freediving course or fun dives — message the team with your dates and they will shape the stay around both.
