Rent the yoga shala

Teach your own class, workshop or group practice in one of our shalas, 7am–9pm. Pick a free time, pay the booking deposit, and reception confirms it by email.

Space

Rental: 1,500 thb (upstairs shala, 1h, 8 people).
Pay now: 1,000 thb booking deposit (1,119.05thb incl. 7% VAT & card fee), taken off the rental price. The rest is paid before you use the shala — cash at reception, or online by card (card fee applies).

On arrival you also pay a separate 1,000 THB damage deposit in cash, returned in cash after we check the shala.

Your booking is confirmed only when reception confirms it by email. If we cannot host you, the deposit is refunded in full.

Shala rental agreement

1. Purpose

The shala is rented only for yoga, meditation or similar activities. Any other use needs Blue Chitta's written permission.

2. Prices

  • Upstairs shala: 1,500 THB per hour for up to 8 people, +200 THB for each extra person.
  • Downstairs shala: 2,500 THB per hour for up to 8 people, +250 THB for each extra person.
  • One hour = one hour of practice. You may enter 15 minutes before to set up, and must leave 15 minutes after to clean.
  • Extra time is charged in 15-minute steps.
  • Mats, blocks and straps are included. Ask us for any other equipment.
  • Rental hours: 7:00am – 9:00pm.

3. How to book and confirm

  • Request: book online (or at reception) and pay a 1,000 THB booking deposit.
  • Confirmation: your booking is only confirmed when Blue Chitta reception or a manager confirms it to you by email or message. Until then, the time is not guaranteed.
  • If we cannot confirm your time, your booking deposit is refunded in full.
  • Once confirmed, the booking deposit is non-refundable and is taken off your rental price.
  • Full payment of the rental must be made before you use the shala — in cash at reception, or online by card (card fees apply).

4. Damage deposit — 1,000 THB cash

On arrival you pay a separate 1,000 THB damage deposit in cash. After your rental, our staff check the shala. If everything is fine, the full 1,000 THB is returned to you in cash.

If any rule below is broken, or the shala is damaged or left dirty, Blue Chitta will keep part or all of the deposit. If the cost is more than 1,000 THB, you pay the difference.

5. Rules

  • No smoking in the shala or around it. Smoking only in the garden smoking area — please tell your group. If broken: at least 500 THB kept from the deposit.
  • No air conditioning unless booked (upstairs only, +100 THB/hour). Use the 2 wall fans. If broken: 100 THB per hour used kept from the deposit.
  • Keep noise low, and quiet after 9:00pm. If broken: part or all of the deposit kept.
  • Leave the shala as you found it: clean floor, props put back, lights and fans off. If broken: cleaning cost kept from the deposit.
  • No damage to the shala, furniture or equipment. If broken: repair or replacement cost kept from the deposit; any amount above 1,000 THB is charged to you.
  • Stay within your booked time (including 15 min set-up / clean-up). If broken: extra time charged in 15-minute steps.

6. Responsibility and insurance

The renter is responsible for their group and for any damage they cause. We recommend the renter has insurance. Blue Chitta is not responsible for injuries or loss of personal belongings during the rental.

7. Ending the rental early

If the rules are not respected, Blue Chitta may end the rental immediately. In that case the rental payment is not refunded and the damage deposit may be kept.

8. Agreement

By signing (or ticking "I agree" when booking online), the renter confirms they have read and understood this agreement, will follow the rules, and accept that the deposit will be kept if the rules are broken.
