The art of breath-holding

Through advanced breathing techniques, visualisation and meditation, you develop the ability to hold your breath for over three minutes. That capacity does more than extend a freedive — it sharpens focus, deepens relaxation, clears the mind and quietly rebuilds self-confidence.

A freediver at the surface buoy between freedives

Exhale freediving and freefall

Freefall is the most addictive part of freediving: the moment you become negatively buoyant, stop moving, and keep sinking — faster and more fluidly the deeper you go. It is a practice of complete surrender that can only really be understood in the water. You begin exploring it through exhale freediving in shallow water, then are guided into freefall at depth on the way toward 30 metres.

What you'll learn

Static apnea clinic with three-minute-plus holds, exhale freediving technique, the mammalian dive reflex and freediving physiology, apnea yoga and advanced lung stretching, mental preparation for deep freediving, training for deep freediving, and freefall technique.

How deep does the Level 2 Freediver course go?

Up to 30 metres, learning freefall on the way down and building breath holds of more than three minutes.

Do I need Level 1 first?

Yes — the course is for certified Level 1 freedivers, and you can continue to it straight after finishing Level 1.

How much is the Level 2 course?

The Level 2 Retreat is 17,000 thb with sea-view accommodation, meals, yoga and ice baths. Taking the retreat without accommodation is 10% off, and course only is 12,000 thb.

What is freefall?

The point where you become negatively buoyant: you stop swimming and keep sinking, faster and more fluidly as you descend. You start with exhale freediving in shallow water, then progress to freefall at depth.

What should I bring?

Just sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Everything else, including all freediving equipment, is provided.
